PrimeSource Building Products, Inc., Selected Exclusive Distributor for BIP Company Building Products

January 4, 2012

Oregon-based BIP Company, manufacturer of products for the building industry for domestic and international markets, announces today that PrimeSource Building Products, Inc., will be the exclusive distributor of BIPChairs™  under the Grip-Rite PROLOK brand for North America and Canada.  This mutually beneficial partnership is one that has been in the making since BIP Company debuted their products at the World of Concrete Exhibition in January, 2011.

Blake Baldwin, National Sales Manager for PrimeSource had this to say about the partnership, “PrimeSource is excited about this partnership and we look forward to broadening our concrete accessories product portfolio.

Kerry Parham, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for BIP Company remarked, “A partnership like this doesn’t come along everyday.  PrimeSource is the largest purveyor of building products in North America and Canada and provides us with the most favorable way to distribute our products nationwide.

The unique patent-pending chairs and clips are professionally engineered with a unique strong “I” beam design, with distinctive clips molded into them to securely hold rebar in place.  Made from a proprietary plastic the rebar chairs are used in a variety of concrete applications such as pours, mesh, and tilt-up installations.  The chairs and clips come in a multitude of sizes, are stackable for layering, and are made in both Imperial and Metric sizes. In addition, BIP has recently added a Tilt-up chair for pre-cast pours and a Sandplate option for increasing the base size of the BIP Chairs  for soft soil applications.

The accessories can be found at concrete and construction supply yards nationwide. They are competitively priced, reduce work time and relieve installers of the need to tie wire while raising and securing rebar.
